Overview: We have an immediate opening for an Assistant Manager- Operations for our Evening Shift.

Position Summary:
The Assistant Manager is responsible for the supervision of operational activities in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and standards to achieve established production schedules and desired quality levels for Evening Shift operations in their designated Division. This is a permanent evening shift position.
Organizational Relationship:
Reports directly to the Director, Manufacturing for the identified Division.
Accountabilities:

Achieve departmental, plant, and corporate goals for safety, quality, productivity, etc.

Manage the activities and personnel engaged in manufacturing of products within your assigned Division.

Manage multiple production processes.

Develop, direct, and manage Production Supervisors within the evening shift division and train them to properly utilize all equipment and tools.

Engage employees in continuous improvement, safety, quality, and other company initiatives.

Interpret, model, apply, and enforce all company policies, procedures, programs, rules, regulations, and safety requirements.

Maintains the technical and managerial skills required to effectively administer the production process.

Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Must be adaptable to change and have the ability and desire to make a difference.

Solid math skills and measurements are essential.

Mechanical aptitude is preferred.

Education & Experience:

High school diploma or GED equivalent is minimally required.

A Bachelor-level degree in a technical or business field is highly preferred.

3+ years of supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting, is required.

Knowledge of the cabinet industry is an asset.
