About the role:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team to oversee projects involving the electronics recycling projects. You will be involved in all stages of project implementation including planning, implementation, supervision, costing, scheduling, coordination, inspection and documentation. The successful candidate will work closely with other teams, business partners and other key stakeholders to identify and implement improvements; assess risks and health hazards, train and coach employees and resolve issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Administer project-specific roles and delegate duties to the appropriate employees whose qualifications and expertise are most suited for the specific position, in order to achieve the most favorable results within projects deadlines. Should be able to manage capital projects when required

• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of establishments that provide services to
businesses

• Represent the company within various economic and social organizations

• Develop action plans, provide expertise in response to client needs, and support and advise project teams

• Direct and advise staff in the development and implementation of service quality assessment strategies

• Plan, develop and organize the policies and procedures of establishments

• Forecast, administer and control budgets for client projects, contracts, equipment, material and supplies

• Strategize, organize and oversee operational logistics of the organization, Plan sequence of operations

• Develop maintenance and operating standards for electrical and electronic systems and equipment

• Assist staffs with administrative or technical problems

• Determine testing and maintenance procedures, Costing and budgeting

• Prepare and submit progress and other reports

• Assign, co-ordinate and review projects and programs. Manage staff and assign duties, Establish work schedules and procedures, Co-ordinate work activities with other departments, Co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers

• Supervise co-ordinate and schedule activities of production workers who operate processing machines and who recycle, assemble, Inspect plastic/rubber/other parts and products

• Answer inquiries from clients and other company personnel

• Inspect to ensure that safe working conditions are maintained. Articulate complete safety guidelines and proper procedures to all employees

• Able to understand the electronic recycling process. Launch production methods and write standard operating procedure that considers the multi-faceted project goals, such as electronic recycling, resell and sorting

• Ensure smooth operation of computer systems, recycling equipment and machinery and arrange for maintenance and repair work

• Interview, hire and oversee training for staff


Technical and Business Skills:

• Project Management & Analysis education and skills (Funding Proposals, Cost Benefit Analysis, Risk Management, Stakeholder Management, Change Management, Requirement Gathering)

• Knowledge of electronic recycling industry. Able to understand the electronic recycling processes and write standard operating procedures
• Ability to design projects for a wide variety of electronic equipment, the most economical means of recycling them and familiarity with the project life-cycle stages for each type

• Understanding with laboratory environment. Scheduling and maximizing use of laboratory time and testing equipment, experience with various lab procedures and tests (Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), Sample Prep. (mill, furnace, digestion, etc.)

• Knowledge of material processing/separation machinery and processes. Optimizing machinery use based on incoming material types and quantities. Experience with automated separation and processing equipment

o Electrostatic Separator
o Cyclonic Separator

• Experience with industry-specific standards and management systems (ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and Responsible Recycling (R2) principles). Familiarity with the contents of these standards and how their requirements are typically met. Carry out projects in a manner that is compliant with these standards

• Design projects within the framework of an environmental / health & safety management system (EHSMS)

• Knowledge of R2 “Focus Materials” (PCBs, Mercury, Batteries, CRTs / Lead, Toner). Ability to identify incoming product that may contain these materials and account for them through the entire project.

• JHSC certified to help the committee document and identify hazards, as well as assist in health and safety compliance audits, training, documenting controls, and completing internal audits

• Experience with QuickBooks Software for budgeting


Qualifications and Preferences:

• 2-3 years of experience in business management operations and related fields
• Ability to Supervise 3-4 people, Staff in various areas of responsibility and Working groups
• University degree in either Business Administration, International Business, Finance, Management and Operations
• PMP certification or Project Management Diploma/Experience will be an asset
• Minimum 1 year of experience working within the electronics recycling industry
• Knowledge and experience of Machinery, metal equipment, products manufacturing. Machinery and transportation equipment and Materials sciences in recycling industry will be considered as an asset
• Professional experience of waste management, waste recycling, waste disposal and refuse systems is preferred along with purchasing, procurement, contracts, and Laboratory testing and analysis
• Should have qualities like Team player, Accurate, Reliable and Organized
• Good communication and effective interpersonal skills
• Self-starter and highly motivated to make proactive changes
• Demonstrate flexibility and is able to succeed in a multi-task in dynamic environment and Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and large workload
