Responsibilities:
Consult with clients to understand their unique needs and preferences and offer expert advice on different makeup looks, matching their skin tone, and facial features.
Select, apply, and blend various makeup products such as foundation, eyeliner, eye shadow, mascara, and lipstick to create natural or bold looks depending on the clients’ needs.
Create makeup looks for clients attending events such as weddings, photoshoots, or other special occasions.
Stay up-to-date with current makeup trends, techniques, and product innovations to provide excellent service and advice to clients.
Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of all makeup tools, equipment, and workspaces before and after use.
Build a network of clients by promoting services through social media platforms and attending networking events.
Upsell other beauty services or products to clients to enhance their overall experience.
Qualification:
2+ years’ experience in the beauty or event planning industry, preferably as a Makeup Artist
Minimum high school graduate. Diploma or certificate from cosmetology school preferred.
Experience in bridal make-up and hair styles
Knowledge of makeup techniques and trends
Superb communication skills
Good time management skills and patience
A keen eye for artistic detail
Customer-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude
The ability to work early morning, later evenings and weekends
Willingness to travel to different locations
Ability to work with diverse clients
