(Ethnic Food Cook)
We are looking for a well experienced Ethnic Food Cook for “UNIVERSAL EVENT SPACE” located at 6250 Hwy 7, Woodbridge, ON L4H 4G3, Canada.

JOB DUTIES:
Prepare and present a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes, ensuring exceptional flavour, quality, and visual appeal for high-end events including weddings, galas, and corporate functions.
Develop and maintain consistent spice blends, marinades, and base sauces in accordance with the venue’s culinary standards.
Operate and maintain traditional Indian kitchen equipment such as tandoors, tawas, and kadais, ensuring proper handling and safety at all times.
Execute dishes according to standardized recipes to ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation.
Assist with daily mise en place and kitchen preparation tasks, including marination, vegetable prep, and spice grinding, to support smooth event service.
Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety within all work areas in compliance with health regulations.
Monitor the freshness and proper storage of all spices, herbs, and specialty ingredients critical to Indian cuisine.
Collaborate with the culinary leadership team to support inventory control by reporting low stock levels and assisting with supply planning.
Work effectively with other kitchen team members to ensure timely, coordinated food service during large-scale functions.
Stay informed about emerging trends, techniques, and innovations in Indian cuisine to contribute to the ongoing enhancement of menu offerings.
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary School certificate or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
Language: English
Annual Salary: $53,200 - $56,000 for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Starting Date: As soon as possible
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay
