Position Summary
The firm is seeking a Consumer Proposal Meeting of Creditors Administrator. The individual should have the ability to prioritize and multi-task. This individual must also possess excellent oral and written communication skills and can work independently as well as being a team player. This individual must have demonstrated skills to influence, persuade and negotiate with others to come to an agreement. In addition, the individual must be well organized, detail oriented and able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment.

Major Responsibilities:

Monitoring proof of claims for negative votes

Review of claims and voting summary at 45 days

Scheduling meeting of creditors

Sending out notice of creditors meeting

Preparation of documents for meeting of creditors

Debtor/Creditors negotiations

Chair meeting of creditors

E-filing minutes of the meeting

Contact and issue resolution with debtors and creditors until either acceptance or refusal of the proposal

Transmission of documents

OSB enquires concerning creditors meeting

Other duties as assigned


University Degree or College Diploma


Knowledge of insolvency law in Canada, insolvency law experience is an asset however; on the

job training will be provided.

Minimum of 3-4 years working in a administrative role

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

Good communication skills to speak effectively with staff and other third parties

Ability to influence others, persuade and negotiate

Organizational skills to organize workload

Proven background dealing with attention to detail and multi-tasking

Additional requirements:

Valid Ontario driver license and a reliable, licensed and insured vehicle

Willing to travel to satellite offices on occasion to attend meetings of creditors
