Heavy Equipment Mechanic (310T or 421A, or 2nd - 3rd year apprentice)
Location: Embro, Ontario (18 minutes away from Woodstock, ON)
Overview
Our company was established in 1988 and has grown to be an industry leader in Southern Ontario. We’re continuing to grow and are looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic near Woodstock. We offer a competitive wage, a Dental plan, Medical Life Insurance, and RRSP matching.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Operations Manager and Lead Mechanic
Light travel will be required to maintain and repair equipment on various mining and construction sites in the Woodstock area
Mechanics will also keep Site Supervisors informed of resource requirements and equipment deficiencies
Perform various related duties as required
Qualifications & Experience:
Heavy Equipment Technician, Truck and Transport Mechanic Certified or equivalent (i.e. Red Seal)
Apprentices will be considered
Previous experience in the medium / heavy duty equipment or the automotive industry
DZ, Class 3 Drivers License with Air or “Q” Endorsement are preferred, but not required
Experience working on highway commercial vehicles
Experience and familiarity with computers and computer software
High degree of product and technical knowledge
A driver’s licence is required for this role

Strong time-management skills are required to meet daily goals and deadlines
