Canada Feng Tai International is seeking exceptional talent! We’re currently seeking a well-qualified Vice President of International Logistics to lead all Chinese logistics-related operations for our company.

Canada Feng Tai International is a well-established trading company specializing in the import and export of grocery products, including packaged food items, snacks, drinks, frozen foods, and seafood. Canada Feng Tai International distributes to our related supermarket chain as well as other supermarkets in the Greater Toronto Area, and also exports Canadian products to China. Our primary suppliers are located in mainland China, and we are seeking a senior executive to oversee the complex and ever-changing logistics landscape in China. Our offices are located at 1100 Gordon Baker Rd., North York, ON M2H 3B3.

As a Vice President of International Logistics, your responsibilities include the following:

• Direct and manage all logistics operations of the company relating to China, ensuring coordination of all processes to achieve logistical efficiency;
• Analyze the company’s logistics and supply chain framework, create a comprehensive strategic plan and oversee the implementation of the plan;
• Conduct detailed market research and data analysis to inform the strategic plan;
• Develop and oversee the administrative and financial framework for China-related logistical operations;
• Propose budget plans and cost-controlling mechanisms and procedures for all logistics operations including shipping, transportation, customs, services, and storage;
• Oversee and train management and staff in logistics, supply chain and trading operations, including import/export documents and customs clearance in China;
• Analyze, evaluate and track logistics operations KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to maintain transport efficiency and ensure on-time delivery of the products;
• Represent and promote the company in establishing trust and long-term partnerships, and entering into strategic contracts with local and international shipping companies or agencies in China;
• Work in collaboration with management to implement policies and plans to ensure that the importing and exporting processes comply with the relevant rules and regulations;

Salary $113,100, full-time, permanent.

The perfect candidate will possess all of the following qualifications:

• College diploma or degree or relevant experience in trading and logistics;
• 10+ years of experience in the logistics industry in China, of which 5+ years should be in a senior management position;
• Expert knowledge and understanding of the complexity of high-volume logistics in China, in-depth familiarity with all modalities including land (road and rail), sea, and air;
• Exceptional relationships with key players in logistics in China;
• In depth knowledge of transportation, warehousing, refrigeration, customs, and related matters in China;
• Familiar with Chinese importing and exporting rules and regulations;
• Fluency in reading, writing and speaking Chinese;
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, Chinese logistics software;
• Business acumen, financial knowledge and entrepreneurial drive;
