Job Summary

The Procurement Manager is responsible for managing inventory and inventory processes by developing, maintaining, and executing processes that support accurate inventory oversight. They are responsible for the purchasing requirements of the company, and for procuring goods and services at the best price possible.

Job Duties

• Overall responsibility for ensuring optimum quality, delivery, and cost concessions
• Communication with supplier (written and verbal) as appropriate
• Negotiate the price with various suppliers to match the target price and quality
• Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies Purchase materials in a timely manner
• Prepare and manage departmental budget
• Manage staff and ensure each member is sufficiently trained for their positions
• Review staff providing actionable feedback and handle hiring/firing where appropriate
• Review past due purchase orders to ensure valid and process vendor claims as appropriate
• Develop and implement new purchasing strategies to deliver ongoing cost reductions and process simplification
• Maintain records of goods ordered and received
• Works to establish collaborative relationships with all levels of the organization
• Ensure sufficient levels of inventory are maintained
