Abercorn Inn Vancouver Airport is centrally located in Richmond, where guests can enjoy shopping, dining and entertainment. It is only 3 km from Vancouver International Airport and 20 minutes' drive from Downtown Vancouver with public transport options are nearby. We are currently recruiting for the position of Bookkeeper.

Job Purpose Summary

The main duty of our bookkeeper is the process of recording daily transactions in a consistent way. A qualified candidate is responsible for entering the data into the books and keeping the records up to date which involves tracking all income and expenses, paying bills, invoicing, tracking payroll, etc.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Provide support to finance department and work closely with internal accountant
• Records numerical and financial data to produce financial records.
• Ensures financial data is entered correctly and accurately into accounting system
• Enters journal entries to debit and credit the company’s accounts
• Generates accounting and audit reports for cash receipts, accounts payable and receivable, expenditures, and profits and losses
• Monitor the accounting activities, reconciles and reports differences or issues found in financial records
• Prepare payrolls, cheques and tax forms
• Verify accounts payable and receivable for transactions
• Sort and keep various accounting vouchers, receipts, invoices, reimbursement forms and other required documents
• Perform other bookkeeping duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• Post-secondary education in bookkeeping or related subject;
• 3+ years experience in bookkeeping or similar role is preferred;
• Familiar with Sage and other accounting softwares.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Good financial and accounting knowledge
• Proficient in accounting software
• Attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Job Type: Full-time, permanent, Mon-Fri 9am-5pm
Salary: $35,000 to $50,000
Benefits: Extended health care
