JOB DESCRIPTION
Nirvana Canada is seeking a talented Business System Analyst to join our growing team. This is a full-time permanent position, and the selected candidate will be responsible for enhancing the quality of IT products and services, analyzing data to inform business decisions, and finding technological solutions to business needs, among other duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Evaluating system processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and designing, developing, integrating and implementing information systems business solutions.
• Providing advice to the clients on information systems strategy, policy, management, security and service delivery.
• Analyzing the design of technical systems and business models.
• Writing business process model notations and making business processes and process mapping.
• Utilizing IT data for business insights.
• Finding technological solutions to business requirements.
• Sourcing and implementing new business technology.
• Producing reports on application development and implementation.
• Running A/B tests and analyzing data to inform business decisions.
• Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems.
• Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
• Documenting system requirement specifications and functional requirement specifications and communicating your insights and plans to cross functional teams i.e. development, project management and business.
• Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
• Performing user acceptance testing.
• Updating, implementing, and maintaining procedures.
• Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• A University Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Business Administration or in a related discipline is preferred.
• Experience in business analysis, system analysis, design, data analysis, data modeling and systems testing, or related field is an asset.
• Time-management skills as you will often be tasked with multiple projects simultaneously
