Duties:
• Perform routine therapeutic procedures
• Perform Veterinary surgery in routine cases
• Be responsible for patient records management and accurate client billing
• Post-operative observation
• Participate in continuing education
• Examine animals and diagnose problems or diseases through physical examinations or laboratory tests
• Diagnose and prescribe medication to sick or injured animals
• Consult with pet owners about preventive healthcare; and carry out medical and surgical procedures, such as vaccinations, dental work, and fractures
• Consult clients on hygiene and general care of their pets.
• Provide a range of veterinary services including euthanasia
• Offer general wellness and vaccinations, nutrition, and weight management programs
• May enforce government regulations in disease control
• Keep up with the flow of the clinic and meeting expected appointment times
• Expected to attend monthly DVM and all other team meetings, and contribute ideas and feedback at the meetings that will help with the health of the clinic and patients

Requirements:
• University degree in veterinary medicine (DVM degree), as well as any required pre-veterinary studies for the university program, if applicable
• Completion of national certification examinations or equivalent is required
• Provincial licensing in Ontario (or the ability to obtain) from the College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO) is required
• Ability to work Monday – Friday
• Strong leadership skills combined with a positive team player attitude
• Exemplary customer service that builds loyalty and trust with your clients
• Strong organizational skills which allow you to stay focused, work independently, and work efficiently under pressure
