Job duties:
Ensure necessary hygiene standards are maintained prior to further preparation and packaging;
Cut, trim and prepare standard cuts of meat;
Carve poultry into parts for individual purpose;
De-bone a variety of meat types and cuts;
Process a variety of select meat, including, but not limited to, poultry, beef and lamb;
Operate specialty equipment to grind and slice meat;
Season and stuff specialty sausages;
Weigh, price, wrap and package prepared meats;
Address the retail needs of the store and sell meats to customers;
Take directions from clients who request special orders and prepare said orders; and
Follow all governmental safety protocols and company safety guidelines during work shifts.
Terms of employment:
Permanent, Full-time
Wage: $27.00 per hour
Location of work: Toronto/GTA
Skills requirements:
No degree, certificate or diploma
6 months – 9 months experience as a butcher or meat cutter is required.
