Job duties:
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work area by adhering to all sanitation and hygiene procedures, including sweeping, and mopping of the kitchen floor as required.
• Washes, prepares, dices and or cooks various food (i.e., vegetables, fish, rice).
• Prepares and serves menu items in accordance with the Kitchen Menu Knowledge File.
• Ensures proper heating, reheating, and storing of food in accordance with Northern Health Regulations
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
• Order supplies and equipment.
• Maintain Inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
