Perla Oyster Bar & Grill is looking for One (1) Head Chef to perform the following duties:
• Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities
• Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets and specialty functions
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
• Estimate food requirements and may estimate food and labour costs
• Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs and cooks
• Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
• Recruit and hire staff
• May prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.
Terms of Employment:
• Salary: $25 per hour
• 40 hours per week
• Permanent, Full-Time
• Start date: immediately
Skills Requirements:
• Language: English
• Education: high school or relevant experience
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial cooking, in kitchen preparation and cooking
