Job Description:
Le Pyramide Builders and Contractors Inc., located at 2474 Council Ring Road, Mississauga, Ontario, L5L 1E6, is looking to hire a full-time Carpenter (NOC 72310), to join their team, as soon as possible.
Positions available: 1
Type of employment – full-time and permanent
Start date – as soon as possible
Wages: $30.00/hour, 35-40 hours per week
Language: English
Work location – various construction sites
Job duties:
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
• Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites
• Estimate costs and materials
• Survey building locations and levels
• Supervise other workers
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field is required.
• Work conditions and physical capabilities: bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, tight deadlines.
