• Completed college/CEGEP or university degree in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology or related field
Experience
• 2+ years as a manufacturing technologist/technician in an industrial manufacturing setting
• Demonstrated aptitude working with aluminum extrusion equipment
• Knowledge and comfort with working around heavy equipment in an industrial environment
• Experience with AutoCAD and drawing creation

Tasks
• Develop and conduct production, inventory and quality assurance programs
• Develop and carry out work study
• Conduct work measurement or other studies
• Conduct safety training programs
• Develop computer applications for machines and processes
• Collect and compile operational or experimental data
• Collect and analyze data and samples
• Develop manufacturing and processing procedures
• Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports
• Read blueprints and drawings
• Set machine or equipment controls, oversee production and inspect processes
• Prepare production standards and schedules
• Daily review of Non-Conformity Reports/Maintenance Review Board Material/Production Reports
• Initiation of root cause analysis for unacceptable product (driven internally or externally)
• Investigation into poor performing production runs with the intent to provide corrective measures
• Support production during runs of problem dies
• Recognize training opportunities and initiate training
• Interact with production employees to train/coach and assist in improving production metrics
