Skills requirements:
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
• Work experience: At least 5 years of experience in a supervisor position is required.
Job Duties:
• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of construction and renovation workers engaged trades such as bricklaying, tile setters, glaziers, painters, decorators, plasterers, drywall installers, finishers, shinglers, roofing, electrical appliances installers, fence erectors, kitchen cupboard and vanity installers, sign installers, window installers, labourers and insulators, except well construction, digging or drilling
• Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other subcontractors
• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
• Requisition materials and supplies
• Train workers in job duties or arrange for their training
• Recommend personnel actions such as hirings and promotions
• Prepare work progress reports
