Job title: Siding Installer
Location of Work: Various Locations in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia
Minimum Education: no formal education required.
Work Experience: 1 to 2 Years of related experience
Job Duties:
• Read blueprints or work order specifications.
• Determine layout and installation procedures.
• Measure and cut siding materials to fit the dimensions of the building. Using various tools, such as saws and shears, to cut the siding accurately.
• Select the appropriate siding material, which can include vinyl, wood, fiber cement, metal, or other materials, based on the customer's preferences and the building's needs.
• Prepare the surface by removing any old or damaged siding, as well as ensuring that the surface is smooth and clean.
• Install siding as per specifications and schematics for buildings using hand and power tools.
• Seal gaps and joints to prevent water, air, and pests from entering the building.
• Follow safety guidelines and use personal protective equipment to prevent accidents and ensure their own safety, as well as the safety of their coworkers and others on the job site.
