Job duties:
· Plan and optimize truck routes to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
· Supervise the maintenance and upkeep of the company's fleet of trucks. Schedule regular maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime.
· Develop schedules for drivers and ensure they adhere to assigned routes and delivery times.
· Coordinate and oversee dispatch operations, including load assignments and tracking.
· Ensure that drivers comply with regulations related to driving hours, rest periods, and vehicle maintenance and they follow safety regulations and use appropriate safety equipment.
· Communicate with customers to confirm delivery schedules and address any issues or concerns.
· Prepare and process shipping documents, such as bills of lading, invoices, etc.
· Utilize logistics management software and technology for route planning, tracking, and reporting.
· Any other relevant tasks.
