One (1) Full time Permanent position of Shipping Supervisor (NOC 12013) is available at Autolinx Logistics Inc. located at 375 Market Drive, Milton, ON, L9T 3H5.
Main Duties to be completed as per the lead statement of NOC 12013:
• Monitor and oversee both outgoing and incoming shipping activities daily.
• Supervise freight flow processes and maintaining stock areas.
• Managing the freight team efficiently to ensure on-time delivery of shipments.
• Ensuring that the team follows company policies and standards.
• Prepare BoL for each shipment and ensure that both parties have signed.
• Ensure & confirm on PoD for each shipment delivered/arrived.
• In charge of compiling a list of unfulfilled orders for future reference.
• Monitoring the goods and services before shipment processing to avoid delays and possible client complaints.
• Manage international shipping - coordinate documentation, commercial invoices, letters of credit, NAFTA, certificates of origin.
• Process all shipping information on the necessary reports.
• Direct the movement of shipments from shipping points to destination.
• Inspect loading operations to make sure that they comply with shipping specifications.
• Decide the load limit of each truck used in the loading and delivery process.
• Read shipping notices, invoices, orders, and other documents so as to determine priorities and shipping methods that are needed to meet schedules.
• Responsible for notifying the account department for financial transactions related to shipping services.
• Identify opportunities for enhancement and suggest ways of improvement to top management of the organization.
• Supervise logistics activities related to transportation, logistics planning, order processing & customer service.
• Communicate standard logistics metrics to direct reports.
• Counsel employees when performance is not up to standard.
Requirements:
Experience: Minimum One (1) year of experience.
Education: Completion of Secondary school.
Wage rate: $27.00/hour
Hours: 40 hrs/week
