We are currently looking for a Legal Assistant to help us continue delivering top-tier legal services to our valued clientele.

Job Duties: 
1.Collect and review legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, contracts, deeds, and legal correspondence. Ensure that these documents are proofread and meet legal requirements and standards.
2.Assist in conducting research on legal issues, case law, statutes, and regulations to help with case preparation. Use online databases, libraries, and other resources to locate legal precedents and relevant documents. Analyze documents, contracts, and evidence relevant to legal proceedings.
3.Manage billing, maintain records, and handle correspondence. Maintain good client communication, answer questions, provide timely updates on the status of their cases, gather information to assist in legal matters, and arrange appointment that best accommodate the lawyer’s and client’s schedule.
4.Manage and organize case files, maintain calendars, check physical and online mail box regularly, and schedule meeting dates and business travel.
5.Maintain a well-organized and up-to-date system for tracking all filings, including important deadlines, case numbers and confirmation of receipt by the court. Keep all confidential documents safe and organized.
6.Monitor case docket entries, and follow up on any missing or rejected filings to address any issues promptly.
7.Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain strict confidentiality when dealing with sensitive client information.

Qualifications:
1.High school graduation plus successful completion of a legal secretary/paralegal college program of 1-2 years; or equivalent relevant work experience.
2.One year of legal assistant experience is preferred.
3.Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
4.Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
5.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
6.Positive work attitude and genuine desire to provide excellent service.
7.Proficiency in legal research.
8.Commitment to ethical conduct and confidentiality.
