Description:
As a Food Service Supervisor, you are responsible for running a shift to A&W standards and local labour laws, in the absence of more senior management. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation and maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
Job duties are as follows but not limited to:
• Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of kitchen staff and food counter attendants
• Ensure the well-being and safety of the customer and staff
• Ensure restaurant is continually meeting production demands and standards for food quality, service times and service experience
• Open /close the restaurant , with access to the safe and /or float
• Assign work stations and manages breaks
• Resolve and documents any issues within their realm of authority concerning the restaurant , staff and customers according to restaurant polices
• Make decisions to balance key goals- high quality, speed and cost control through effective management of the Operating system
• Complete daily paperwork as required
• Complete weekly inventories as necessary
• Complete weekly P&L statements as necessary
• Complete orders as necessary
• Complete various tasks dependent on ability, seniority, initiative and division of tasks
• Train and coach staff as directed by management. Also assist with staff performance evaluation
• Confront poor performance of staff on ability and individual situations
• Ensure overall cleanliness of restaurant
• Comply with and enforces all A&W operating standards
• Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
• Secondary School education
• Minimum 7 months - 1 year of supervisory experience in food service
Additional Job Requirements:
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet operational needs, including early morning, afternoon and evening shifts
