Location: Vancouver, Surrey, Richmond and Abbotsford, British Columbia, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, and Winnipeg, Manitoba, and more client sites as required.

Salary: $31.25 - $40 CAD per hour

Duties:
• Travel to customer locations to install, service and repair food processing machinery.
• Supports customer satisfaction with effective maintenance and repair of food production equipment in the meat, bakery, dairy, poultry and seafood processing plants.
• Inspects equipment to detect or determine any issues or malfunctions.
• Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic control systems to provide technical support, installation of new equipment, preventative maintenance and on-site equipment repairs.
• Provide customer training on new equipment.
• Works as part of a collaborative team to support and share specialized technical expertise.
• Complete detailed service reports and applicable CRM maintenance.
• Manages spare parts inventory.
• Maintains customer equipment repair and maintenance records.
• Fosters and maintains excellent relations with customers.
Requirements:
• College diploma in an electrical or mechanical discipline and/or completion of an apprenticeship program in Millwrighting is required
• Licensed Millwright, Electrician or similar trade qualification is an asset
• 2-5 years of experience in a meat processing or food production facility is required
• Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic power systems or control systems.
• Minimum of one year mechanical or electrical repair experience.
• Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid passport for international travel
• Must be willing to travel approximately 80% of the time
• Must be willing to work weekends (approximately 1 to 2 per month) and after hours as required.
• This role is eligible for overtime.

• Ability to read electrical and pneumatic diagrams, schematic drawings engineering specifications and manuals to determine work procedures

• Ability to work well in a team environment and a demonstrated ability to build and foster good relationships
• Ability to regularly list and/or move 10 kg and occasionally 25 kg
