Volkswagen of Coquitlam is hiring an Automotive Service Technician
Volkswagen of Coquitlam is looking for a Journeyman Automotive Technician to join our team. The Licensed Technician is responsible for skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance of vehicles. Experience working with German vehicle brands is an asset. The candidate must be able to analyze, troubleshoot, dismantle, align, assemble, and adjust mechanical equipment and machinery to maintain it in efficient operating condition.
Job duties:
• Valid Automotive Service Technician License.
• Experience with the Volkswagen brand or German brands is an asset.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections to client and internal vehicles in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner according to standardized and manufacturer guidelines.
• Diagnosing of client vehicle concerns and documenting of concerns and repairs made.
• Inspect client and internal vehicles for both safety and operation and advising of necessary repairs.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and proficiency in work carried out throughout the shop, as well as the cleanliness and maintenance of shop and shop tools.
Skills:
• Strong aptitude of technical/mechanical repairs.
• Minimum 3 - 5 years experience working as an automotive technician.
• Provide timely and accurate technical advisement of vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Dealership experience preferred.
• Motivated, hardworking, and a team player.
• Good time management skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A desire to achieve the very best in customer service and teamwork.
