Complete Flooring Company proudly serves areas in Toronto and GTA. We are looking for a responsible and reliable floor installer.
Job Duties:
-Assist carpenters in the installation, positioning materials and helping carpenters cut hardwood floors.
??-Tend machines, gather and organize materials or refinishing for hardwood floor installation.
-Do the sanding process with dust control measures to minimize airborne particles, and maintain a consistent sanding pattern.
-Ensure smooth and even surfaces by sanding and refinishing, should be done Keep the work area clean with dust extraction systems and vacuums.
-Wear PPE, including dust masks, goggles, ear protection, and knee pads.
-Prepare surfaces for refinishing, cleaning and removal of existing materials.
-Ensure dust and debris are contained by coverings and barriers.
-Control and precision are crucial when operating sanders and tools on your knees.
-Apply stains, sealants, and finishes under the guidance of the carpenter.
Requirements:
-Secondary school education (Preferred);
-Experience in construction is an asset;
-Physical endurance to withstand the demands of working in a dusty environment on your knees for extended periods.
-Adapt to changing conditions and be flexible in your approach to work, given the challenging environment.
-Flexible hours, including weekends.
