  Description :  
The Quality Supervisor, Framing & Rough-In, plays a pivotal role in ensuring the adherence to quality standards in the framing and rough-in stages of construction projects. With a focus on dimensional accuracy and compliance with project documents, the supervisor collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to deliver a high-quality end product.

Job Responsibilities and Duties Performed:

• Enforces acceptable standards of workmanship throughout all stages of the framing and rough-in processes.
• Administers the Quality Management Plan (QMP) using Procore software, conducting detailed reviews of steel stud framing, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, and electrical rough-in work.
• Utilizes VanMar QMP checklists diligently, conducting pre and post checklists daily for every element.
• Conducts inspections using Pre & Post QMP Checklists in Procore, ensuring dimensional accuracy and quality workmanship.
• Checks steel stud framing and mechanical and electrical rough-in work before insulation, conducting fire stopping inspections.
• Assists the Assistant Superintendent in verifying dimensional accuracy, layout, and placement of mechanical and electrical trade rough-ins.
• Generates deficiency lists from inspections, collaborates with trades for timely corrections, and ensures work meets acceptable quality standards.
• Identifies and escalates challenges with trades related to noncompliance with the QMP process to the Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent.
• Documents and escalates poor trade response, performance, and noncompliance to the Superintendent and Project Manager.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in the general construction industry, specializing in multi-residential, mid-rise, and high-rise residential projects.
• 2+ years of relevant construction experience.
• Vocational or post-secondary diploma/certificate.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, reports, and shop drawings related to framing and rough-in.
• Proficiency in reviewing shop drawings.
• Knowledge of technical specifications and standards, including CSA standards and Floor Flatness requirements.
• General understanding of building methodology and familiarity with applicable technical standards.
• Detailed and practical approach to Quality Management and Quality Control.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
