Title of the position:
Senior Director – Supply Chain Management

Job duties:
• Responsible for overseeing and managing the policy, procedures, and practices of PTR’s supply chain/warehousing operations;
• Oversee the development and implementation of inventory pricing strategy and management for PTR Paving Inc.;
• Monitor the consistency, performance and reliability of PTR’s supply logistic processes and strategies;
• Act as a central point of contact for clients and addressing important client concerns and requests;
• Meet (by telephone or face-to-face) with PTR clients to continue expanding the breadth and scope of business relationships;
• Identify new business opportunities for PTR with current and prospective clients;
• Assess and introduce new technologies to improve the efficiency and financial expenses of PTR’s supply chain systems;
• Connect with company management, directors, senior managers from other departments and Client Points of Contacts to conduct quality of service reviews;
• Evaluate and approve changes to supplier/vendors and supply chain processes based on present and anticipated client needs;
• Keep the supply chain / warehouse operation teams staffed and proactively trained in accordance with client requirements and governmental safety standards.
• Recruit and appoint managers for the supply chain operation teams;
• Represent PTR at conferences, meetings, and negotiations with public and private sector clients and partners;
• Participate in weekly and monthly performance, revenue, and profitability reviews with managers and other staff; and
• Conduct monthly meetings to review team performance and take the hiring and firing decisions for the department.

Terms of employment:
Permanent, Full-time

Wage:
$53.00 per hour

Hours:
30 hours per week

Toronto/ GTA

Skills requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or related field required.
• Master of Business Management is strongly preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years in a managerial position.
• Must have at least 5 years of work experience in business management, operations management, or supply chain management.
