Tresman Steel Industries Ltd. is a Canadian based steel fabricator with over 40 years’ experience supplying and installing structural steel. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, we are expanding our team and seeking an experienced Structural Metal Worker [NOC: 72104] to join us in Mississauga, Ontario.
Position : Structural Metal Worker
Work Location : 286 Statesman Drive, Mississauga, Ontario, L5S 1X7
Wage : Starts at $25.50 hourly
Full-time: 42.50 hours / week
Remote work availability: No
Number of Positions – 1

Job duties and responsibilities not limited to:
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints,
• Define the materials required
• Efficiently finalize and organize the sequence of tasks for metal cutting.
• Construct patterns and templates as guides for layouts
• Lay out reference points and patterns on heavy metal according to component specifications
• Rig, hoist and move materials to storage areas or within worksite
• Assemble and fit metal sections and plates to form complete units or subunits using tack welding, bolting, riveting or other methods
• Set up and operate various heavy-duty metal-working machines such as Chains, Slings, beam and plate clamps, Grinder, Drills/ Saw to bend, cut, form, punch, drill.
• Install fabricated components in final product.
Qualifications:
• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program or a combination of over four years of work experience in the same skill with college or industry courses in welding, structural steel and platework fabrication or relevant is required.
