Position – Biological Technician
Job type: Permanent, full-time job with flexible working hours
Salary: $24.00 /hour
Job Responsibilities:
• Assist with biological, microbiological, and biochemical testing and analysis
• Perform sample preparation and provide general support in the analysis of samples.
• Coordinates the priority organization and flow of samples and materials
• Assist in the analysis of data and preparation of reports
• Assist in conducting field research and surveys to collect data and samples
• Conduct field research and surveys to collect data and samples
• Set up and conduct biological, microbiological, biochemical tests and laboratory analyses
• Preparation of samples and procedures before analysis
• Ensure a high level of accuracy in Lab sample preparation and analysis.
• Keep supervisor/manager informed about workstation status and delays in advance
• Support biomedical and biology research by performing technical tasks
• Employs proper laboratory techniques to minimize the risk of mislabelling, sample mix-up, and cross--
contamination between samples and other materials.

Work experience: Minimum 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant work experience required.
Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
