Galaxy Freightline Inc. located at 1580 Britannia Rd E, Mississauga, ON L4W 1J2, requires 20 Long Haul Truck Drivers on a Permanent full-time basis. Wage: $27.50 per hour for 40 to 50 hours per week.
Requirements:
• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Credentials: Driver's License (Class AZ or equivalent)
• Experience: No Experience is required but Experience of at least 7 months is preferred. Suitable applicants without experience must go through a 90-day training program after being hired, and the driving test must be passed before commercial driving is permitted on the road
Job duties of Long-Haul Truck Drivers
• Must be licensed and able to drive a tractor/trailer in a safe and proficient manner
• Responsible for inspecting the vehicle to ensure it is in proper operating condition, fueled and ready for dispatch
• Completion of required internal and compliance paperwork
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Use on board computers and communication devises to contact dispatcher and other drivers.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report accidents or violations in timely manner
• Any other relevant task
