Duties:
• Planning, designing, developing, configuring, and maintaining Gosu application code and configuration elements within Guidewire Studio.
• Configuring screen layouts and writing business logic and rules.
• Configuring operational and administration related parameters such as roles, permissions, user attributes, regions, activity patterns etc.
• Creating solution design recommendations and estimates and effectively presenting solution options for implementation.
• Optimizing application performance.
• Supporting testing and resolving configuration defects identified.
• Holding responsibility for code review, code cleanup, and performing sprint demos.
• Supporting production applications and on-call responsibilities.
• Interacting with Analysts and Business Users to translate functional specifications into technical design for implementation and deployment.
• Creating new data model elements and extending the existing data model as part of user story requirements.
• Proposing Configuration and Integration Solutions and estimating the effort as part of User Story requirements.
• Configuring the Guidewire Insurance Suite according to business requirements.
• Developing Wizards on the Guidewire Insurance Suite for various transactions for the Homeowner’s line of business.
• Implementing the business rules & validation rules for various transactions in the Guidewire Insurance suite.
• Maintaining existing computer programs by making modifications as required
• Preparing reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software
• Assisting in the development of logical and physical specifications
• May lead and co-ordinate teams of computer programmers
• May research and evaluate a variety of software products.
Requirements:
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or in another discipline with a significant programming component or completion of a college program in computer science.
• Specialization in programming for engineering and scientific applications requires specific post-secondary study or experience;
• 3+ years of software development/engineering and testing experience;
• Detailed knowledge of the Guidewire InsuranceSuite;
• Experience in the development of automation frameworks and automation scripts;
• Certification as a Guidewire Associate is preferred.
