We make integrating Alipay and WeChat Pay for Canadian merchants easy and help enhance their share of 131 million Chinese consumer market.
We are now looking for a Graphic User Interface Designer to strengthen our team. This role will be tasked with creating positive and user-friendly interfaces to improve the satisfaction of customers using our websites.
Job Duties:
1. Conduct user research to examine our clients' behaviors, comprehend their preferences, and design relevant webpage functions to improve user experience.
2. Analyze the industry trends and draw inspiration from popular website designing languages to create the most accommodating and appealing presentations for the target audiences.
3. Coordinate with the IT team leader to establish the specifications for designing any detailed functional features that align with our business image.
4. Perform user interface-related tasks including producing flows, wireframes, visual designs, and presentations while working closely with other IT staff to ensure system conformity.
5. Create UI icons, dialog elements, animation, screen popups, and other assets suitable to implement the planned features and attract viewer attention.
6. Write, test, and integrate software code for our website and payment applications to set up a cohesive and harmonious design across various elements, including sitemap, multimedia usages, navigation bar, and more.
7. Conduct code reviews regularly to debug and perform timely troubleshooting processes when receiving alerts or feedback from clients.
8. Stay up-to-date with emerging design trends, software tools, and IT technologies to develop updates; maintain the website and payment application’s design languages, style guides, and UI pattern libraries.
9. Document the programming details for system updates and problem-solving stages for the IT team to take reference from.
Qualifications:
1. A college diploma or above in computer science, engineering, or relevant experience in a related field is required.
2. Past experience working in a UX designer capacity or similar programming area is strongly preferred.
3. Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic front-end development concepts to communicate effectively with developers.
4. Possess effective communication skills that can convey design decisions and rationale to the management.
5. Fantastic time management skills to meet project deadlines and attention to detail mindset to improve user experience.
6. Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify user pain points and create solutions that improve the overall user experience.
7. Show good initiative and can work collaboratively in a team environment.
