Specific Skills:
• Develop and oversee transportation policies, procedures, and programs to ensure safe and efficient transportation operations
• Manage and coordinate the transportation department's daily activities, including scheduling, routing, and dispatching of vehicles and drivers
• Provide direction, guidance, and support to ensure the team's effectiveness and productivity.
• Ensuring compliance with transportation regulations.
• Monitor company's or department's performance, prepare reports for senior management, and plan for changes to schedules and policies
• Collaborating with customer service teams to address client concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Resolving issues related to delivery delays, damaged goods, or other transportation-related issues.
• Develop and implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges in the supply chain.
• Providing training and guidance to ensure staff members are proficient in their roles.
• Generate regular reports on transportation and provide insights for continuous improvement.
