Job Duties:
• Timely inspect truck parts like engine, transmissions, oil, etc. to check for any fault or wear-tear.
• Repair or change any faulting part of the truck and trailers.
• Obtain basic knowledge about the engine, transmission, etc. of newly acquired trucks to make yourself aware of a new machine.
• Repair and change the structural parts, brake, and electrical systems of the trucks.
• Able to use both manual and electrical power tools to repair and replace parts of trucks.
• Able to do the servicing of each vehicle by changing engine oil, replacing oil and air filters, exhaustively cleaning mechanical parts of the vehicle, and properly greasing parts of vehicles like doors, bearings, rubbers, etc.
• Maintain a record of each vehicle service time, date, the problem reported by the driver, the action taken, the date for the next service, etc.
Job Requirements:
• Completion of High School would be preferred but not mandatory.
• 1+ years of experience in the trade would be an asset but not mandatory.
• An apprenticeship program or certification of industry courses in truck or heavy-duty equipment mechanics would be an asset but not mandatory.
• Good Multitasking skills
• Comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment.
