Duties:

• Analyze technical information to provide adequate solutions to clients' sealing requirements, including making recommendations on seal products, materials and supply systems;
• Troubleshoot end-user issues with sealing products, materials and supply systems, proposing and recommending solutions or new products;
• Evaluate and analyze failed seals and provide detailed failure analysis report with application recommendations and solutions;
• Define the Root Cause Analysis on warranty incidents. Leads warranty response efforts.
• Assist in promoting, selling and servicing our products in the Canadian territory, consistent with the company's objectives and the customers' needs.
• Prepares technical proposals, reviews purchase orders, and works closely with the planning /customer service and design staff for the timely execution of quotations and orders such that the department's key performance indicators are achieved or exceeded.
• Project management/coordination. It includes coordination with suppliers/subsidiaries and providing information to others to meet the requirements of the offered product when an order is processed.
• Reverse engineering - Support the sales team with selecting equivalent EagleBurgmann products in case we receive a sample or visit the customer site for product identification.
• Makes part lists, enters product data in SAP (master data) and maintains such data in SAP (e.g. roll costs). Compiles new material and drawing numbers for Master data entry. Review data entered.
• Prepare cost sheets for new products from local or imported (landed factors, cost, etc).
• Makes and reviews drawings and product operation maintenance manuals when needed.
• Work together with other departments and prepare quality documentation for orders.
• Maintain records when quality documents have been submitted to the customer for traceability reasons.
• Coordinate projects with all associated tasks for strategic customers / international projects as assigned by the management.
• Troubleshoots products and systems when required. Documents findings and recommendations in a report.
• Developing and maintaining EagleBurgmann sales tools, including surveys, reference lists, status updates, presentations, standard proposals, technical guidelines and calculation tools;
• Maintain product data and master lists in EB SAP systems;
• Preparing and executing training and product presentations, providing product training to co-workers and customers.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated 7-10 years of experience in the mechanical seal industry.
• Experience providing technical sales support in the mechanical seal industry, including mechanical seal assembly, dismantling and fitment.
• 4 years of drawing experience using CAD software (Solid Edge and Cadra) making sketches, testing pressure fixture devices and parts of mechanical seals.
• Experience with technical drawing and interpretation, as well as executing root cause analysis for product failures.
• Experience with API 682 norm – mechanical seal design/application parameters.
• Experience in SAP Modules.
• Deep understanding of mechanical seal supply systems application/operation.
• Excellent communication, strong organizational / interpersonal skills.
• Travel to client sites may be required.
