Job Location: 5 Brisdale Dr. Suite – 201, Brampton ON L7A 0S9
Start Date: As soon as possible
Pay: $36.00/hour
Experience# 1 year to less than 2 years
Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Job Duties include:
• Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of workers who operate cranes and construction, paving, drilling, railway maintenance, and other similar heavy equipment
• Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers
• Requisition materials and supplies
• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity
• Train or arrange for the training of workers
• Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions
• Prepare production and other reports
• May manage the operations of own company
• May also supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of related apprentices, helpers, and laborers.
• Small businesses' contractors may execute tasks within their trade area of expertise, which is generally not the case for supervisors or contractors associated with a medium or large business.
Language: Proficiency in verbal and written English is a must.
