Salary: $27.00 CAD per hour

Duties:
• Preparing meals for large groups of people (breakfast, lunch, dinner, desserts and snacks);
• Maintain records of food consumptions;
• Maintain inventories;
• Make food supplies requisitions when required;
• Prepare and cook food on a regular basis and for special guests or functions;
• Prepare and cook meals or specialty foods;
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling food;
• Understand special diets and prepare food for customers with food allergies or intolerances, as required;
• Create new recipes and menu ideas;
• Cover for Head Chef and or Special Diets Chef when absent;
• Supervise activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks and other kitchen workers;
• Creation of menus;
• Assist in the hiring process and training of staff;
• Assisting at food fairs, congress.
Requirements:
• 3 to 5 years of experience as a chef or sous chef;
• Relevant supervisory experience;
• Experience creating meals for large groups of people;
• Completion of a related post-secondary program;
• Ability to stand for long periods of time;
• Good communication skills;
• Positive attitude;
• Able to work in a team environment;
• Great organizational skills;
• Able to train and share knowledge with all the staff.
