Job Description
· Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic test
· Identify worn and damaged parts, clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
· Keep equipment available for use by completing preventive· maintenance schedules
· Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
· Install component and part upgrades and control corrosion
· Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts or systems
· Adjust and align bearing loads, gear tooth contact, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches traction units
· Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems
· Verify and repair emission control systems
· Maintain vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting
· Maintain vehicle records by annotating services and repairs
· Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work, repairing or replacing malfunctioning components, parts, and other mechanical or electrical equipment
Job Requirements:
Languages:: English
Education:: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience:: 2 years to less than 3 years

Mechanical Maintenance and Repair Specialization:: Mechanical transmissions, Drive trains and final drives, Hydraulic transmissions, Power take-offs, Tracked vehicle suspensions and steering, Wheel-mounted vehicle suspension and steering, Highway vehicle tires and wheels, Off-road vehicle tires and wheels, Differentials, Brake system
Specific Skills:: Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required, Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications, Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work, Service attachments and working tools, Verify and repair emission control systems
