Work Location: Various work locations across Lower Mainland.
Wage Rate: $27.50/hr (40 hours per week)
Over Time Wage Rate: $41.25/hr (after 40 hours per week)
Job requirements:
• No education required.
• Some experience as a construction labourer helper is an asset.
Job Duties:
• Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades required at construction sites.
• Assist tradespersons in construction activities.
• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt.
• Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment.
• Signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities.
• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using various equipment’s.
• Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants and remove hazardous materials.
• Assist in building roofs, erecting walls.
• Assist in setting up and operating various drills and other machinery.
• Maintain machines and equipment used in construction sites such as mixers, compressor and pumps.
• Perform other activities at work and placement.
• Prepare and construct wood frame and heavy timber.
• Suspended slab form work and placement.
