Summary:
Moonga Sashimi is Edmonton’s newest and trendiest sushi bar. We specialize in Japanese cuisine including a traditional omakase multi-course tasting. Our menu changes every week and we pride ourselves on serving only the freshest fish prepared with homemade sauces and accompaniments. We’ve been open since 2017 and are proud to serve Edmonton and area. As our business continues to grow, we are currently seeking an experienced Cook to join our kitchen team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Cook complete Japanese dishes and food from the menu;
- Prepare and cook various types of sushi food items including sashimi, nigiri sushi, maki rolls, inside-out rolls, and other Japanese dishes;
- Prepare and cook hot dishes;
- Manage overall kitchen operations; and
- Train staff including Kitchen Helpers.
Job Requirements:
- 3 years of cooking experience
- Completion of high school education
- Must be able to communicate in English
- Experience with Japanese cuisine preferred
Compensation:
- $17.50 - $18.50/hour plus gratuities
