ABOUT THE POSITION:
Come join our amazing and passionate team as a Bookkeeper at our Surrey office.
We are seeking two bookkeepers to oversee the company's financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations. To perform daily accounting tasks such as monthly financial reporting, general ledger entries, and record payments and adjustments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
~ Prepare accounting records by compiling and analyzing account information
~ Reconcile company's financial records to help ensure accuracy of financial statements
~ Post financial transactions to accounts and prepare financial statements
~ Study financial trends to determine future business needs
~ Sort confidential data received by client
~ Post entries into Sage Accounting with efficiency, with detail paid to expenses and revenue accounts.
~ Reconcile and balance accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank accounts and credit card statements to ensure ~ accurate financial reporting and identify any discrepancies or errors
~ Calculate, and remit payroll, GST, PST, WCB, private medical benefit remittances as and when needed.
~ Assist in issuing year end TS018's and Calculate payroll remittances and correspond with clients relaying the information.
~ Assist in calculating payroll remittances and correspond with clients relaying the information.
~ Prepare spreadsheets with accuracy and efficiency.
~ Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
~ Responsible for semi-monthly employee payroll for the company and it’s clients
WHAT WE ARE OFFERING:
~ A competitive salary Pay: $28 per hour
~ Full-time position (40 hours/week) working Monday to Friday
~ Two weeks paid vacation
EDUCATION
~ Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field is required
~ Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and accounting systems
~ Bookkeeping experience is an asset

~ Comfortable working in an all-digital, electronic environment
~ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
~ Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
~ Detail-oriented and able to prioritize
~ Able to work independently and as part of a team
~ Self-starter
~ Motivated working toward deadlines
~ Able to analyze information and report findings
~ Open to new ideas, corrections & innovations
~ Comfortable using spreadsheets.
~ Familiarity with charts of accounts, journal entries, or accounting software is helpful.
