About the job
Responsibilities
Drive for clarity to deliver the most effective business solutions
Elicit and document requirements using effective methodologies, tools, and techniques to articulate business needs
Distinguish user requests from the underlying true requirements
Analyze and validate information gathered from multiple resources, reconcile conflicts and obtain stakeholder approval
Document current and future states using process map diagrams, cross-functional flowcharts and other supporting documentation
Evaluate current business processes and system capabilities, identify opportunities (process or systems) and analyze potential solutions to support business goals and objectives
Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams and executives to drive IT strategy
Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives and strategic corporate goals
Partner with and support various stakeholders to understand processes, systems, challenges and goals:
Partner with the business to identify business needs, problems and opportunities
Partner with internal and external development resources to ensure solutions meet business requirements
Partner with operations support team to ensure effective transition to support
Support Quality Assurance teams when required in defining and executing test plans, coordinating user acceptance testing and ensuring the solution satisfies requirements
Develop and champion IT project processes and procedures
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, participating in professional associations and establishing personal networks
Contribute to overall team effort by supporting other work not described here as required
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or other four-year related degree
5+ years of experience as a Business System Analyst or related field
Healthcare experience or strong understanding of healthcare processes and regulations
Ability to work with business users and stakeholders successfully and able to communicate technical content in a non-technical manner
Agile methodologies experience
Basic experience with T-SQL and writing/analyzing SQL queries
