Horizon Landscape Contractors Inc. is recruiting for a Pre-Construction Coordinator. Reporting to the Pre-Construction Manager, the Pre-Construction Coordinator will perform the following job duties:
• Supervise and oversee the landscaping construction project team;
• Hire and co-ordinate landscaping and grounds maintenance subcontractors;
• Assist in the training of project staff on company policies and procedures;
• Develop bid scope for trade packages and vet subcontractors to ensure compliance with bid scope;
• Create and maintain project budgets and job hour tracking;
• Review all project documents, for completeness and accuracy;
• Oversee billings and cost procedures during preconstruction.
• Assist in estimating, and review landscaping construction estimates prior to submission
• Request and review subcontractor quotes
• Coordinate activities and establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with clients, project team, Construction Manager, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Create and maintain site logistics and project schedules and monitor progress.
• Resolve any scheduling issues with subcontractors
• Present job cost, scheduling updates, and budget updates at regular intervals.
• Produce project submittal pages.
• Perform site visits to ensure appropriate progression
• Write and ensure execution of all subcontracts and purchase orders.
• Oversee the tracking of landscape construction rental equipment, trucks, machines and trailers.
• Assist in establishing and updating in-house labour projection spreadsheets.
• Maintain job files and records where applicable.
• Other related duties as assigned or needed.

Requirements:
• At least one year work experience in landscape construction administration and/or supervision is required;
• Previous experience with project management and scheduling software is a strong asset.

Additional information:
• This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position.
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 800 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• The position is based out of Squamish, BC with travel to our Langley office and job sites across the Lower Mainland and Sea to Sky corridor.
• Wage offered is $33/hour plus car allowance and 4% vacation pay. Annual cost of living increase of up to 5%.
