Description:
Restaurant Manager is to be responsible for meeting restaurant’s revenue, profitability and quality goals. The incumbent will ensure efficient restaurant operation and maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
Job duties are as follows but not limited to:
• Manage day-to-day operations of the restaurant including planning, organising, and controlling various aspects of daily operations of the restaurant
• Evaluate the day-to-day operation as per company policy and protocols set by A & W restaurants
• Plan, direct, and supervise the preparation and cooking of food, and the proper use of equipment in a safe and sanitary environment
• Assist in the responsibility for restaurant outcomes which include but are not limited to increased sales, profitability, and employee retention
• Implement marketing promotional campaigns
• Order supplies and verify delivered food supplies for quantity and quality
• Supervise food storage and maintain inventory control
• Oversee building maintenance, cleanliness and security
• Direct the overall sanitation procedures for conformity to prescribed policies, procedures, and regulations
• Working to ensure standards of hygiene are maintained and that the restaurant complies with health and safety regulations
• Preparing reports and other performance analysis documentation
• Conducting audits according to A&W Restaurant guidelines to ensure food service quality, environmental safety, and infection control
• Recruit new staff, train and develop existing staff, motivating and encouraging staff to achieve targets.
• Coordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinate employees
• Evaluate and verify employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.
• Identify staff development and training needs and ensures that training is obtained
• Report to and attend regular meetings with area managers or head office representatives
• Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
• Post-Secondary Education in a related discipline
• Minimum 1 year of previous supervisory or management experience in food service industry.

Additional Job Requirements:
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet operational needs, including early morning, afternoon and evening shifts
