Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy department
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies
- Manage and supervise pharmacy staff, training, and performance evaluations
- Develop and implement pharmacy policies and procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care
- Monitor medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness
- Maintain inventory control and order medications and supplies as needed
- Ensure proper preparation, packaging, and storage of drugs and pharmaceuticals.
- Checking the appropriateness of prescriptions, do compounding, dispensing prescribed medications, and giving recommendations regarding over-the-counter medications.
- Provide medication counseling to patients
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in pharmaceuticals and healthcare technology
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Current state pharmacy license in good standing
- Injection-certified
- Experience with dispensing OAT medications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Wage: $70/hr
