Job description
Job title: Bookkeeper (NOC 12200)
Full-time permanent.
Work hours: Tuesday-Friday, 35 hours/week
Wage: $28.50/hour
Work Location: 14 Prince William Dr, Placentia, Newfoundland and Labrador, A0B 2Y0
Language: English
Vacation: Employees are entitled to either two weeks of paid vacation per year or compensation equivalent to 4% of their gross salary.
Job responsibility
1. Maintain accurate financial records and manage diverse balances.
2. Record journal entries and reconcile accounts, such as accounts payable.
3. Process payroll, T4 forms, and all expenditure-related cheques.
4. Compile trial balances and prepare financial statements.
5. Handle tax remittance forms and other governmental paperwork.
6. Produce necessary statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
Employment requirements
1. Completion of secondary school is required.
2. A college diploma in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field or at least 1 year working experience as a bookkeeper or similar role is required.
3. Basic computers skills, like MS office.
4. Attention-to-detail, good organizational skills
5. We work and speak in English, and being fluent in a second language will be an asset.
