Rapid Power Sports (RPS), located in Little Rapids, Newfoundland, Canada is the authorized dealer of Ski-Doo, Sea-Doo, Can-Am, Evinrude, and Wacker Neuson. We are less than an hour from Gros Morne National Park and less than 15 minutes from Corner Brook, proudly serving Western Newfoundland.

In the role of Heavy-duty Equipment Technician, the candidate will be responsible for:
• Perform routine inspection and maintenance on our inventories of heavy-duty construction equipment, such as wheel loaders, excavators, telehandlers, that contains hydraulic systems.
• Provide customer support on troubleshoot and repair heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
• Perform inspection and diagnosis on reported issues and defects.
• Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble and reassemble components of heavy-duty equipment.
• Conduct repair and replacement of parts.
• Test new equipment and repaired equipment, making sure the equipment’s performance meets the manufacture specifications.
• Keep a clean work environment, as well as personal and company tools.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and inquiries in a professional manner.
• Be a good team member, work with other technician and sales personnel.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A bachelor's degree or college diploma in Mechanic related field is preferred.
• Minimum five (5) years experience in a technical occupation related to the heavy machinery industry, machinery parts.
• Ability to make safety a top priority.
• Strong aptitude for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with parts and components and tools to repair heavy machinery.
• Familiarity with electronics and use electronic diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot repairs.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work in the field and in customer’s sites.
