Terms of the Position:
- Terms: Permanent, full-time
- Hours: 40 hours/week
- Wage: $28.50/hour
- Benefits:
o Two weeks vacation
o Discretionary performance-based bonus
o Potential for performance-based sales commissions depending on volume of sales

Skills and Experience Requirements:
- Education:
o Post-secondary degree or diploma of at least one year or longer
- Minimum Experience Requirements:
o At least two years of relevant freight forwarding operational experience in a similar role
o Demonstrate experience successfully handling a high volume of international and domestic freight forwarding cases
o Possess experience with CDM software and demonstrate familiarity and knowledge of its use in a freight forwarding environment
o Possess a Hazmat certificate or be willing to obtain a Hazmat certification
- Personal Attributes:
o Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Demonstrate the ability to professionally communicate with individuals of various backgrounds
o Possess the ability to work in a high-volume environment and under pressure while maintaining excellent organization and attention to detail
o Possess strong time management skills and the ability to manage and meet multiple tight deadlines
o Demonstrate a self-motivated attitude, client focus, reliability and punctuality

Job Duties:
• Coordinate and monitor all aspects of logistics and freight forwarding associated with the movement of shipments
• Ensure shipments are shipped and received on schedule and maintain communications with freight carriers and clients during shipping
• Implement best solutions/strategies to reduce overall costs and improve efficiency of the shipments to achieve profitability for the company and lowest costs for clients
• Prepare and process documentation/paperwork for domestic and international shipments
• Communicate with clients regarding costs, logistics, timelines and processes for shipments
• Coordinate with airlines, ocean freight carriers, ground freight carriers/trucklines and others in the freight forwarding industry to ensure goods and shipments are picked up, shipped and delivered safely, quickly and according to client timelines
• Compute shipping costs and prepare and provide quotes for shipments for clients
• Prepare and provide shipping options for clients
• Book shipments with ocean, airline or ground freight carriers
• Issue invoices or forward invoices to appropriate parties
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers and promote company services to clients
• Maintain familiarity and knowledge with shipping rates and processes of various ocean, airline or ground transportation/freight carriers at all times
