Correct Property Services Inc. is a contractor focusing on residential and commercial property renovation and construction, and is located at 540 Church Street, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M4Y 2E1. We are looking for a permanent, full-time Drywall Installer and Taper to join our team.
Your Responsibilities:
• Scrape, measure, cut, clean and install sheets of drywall on walls and ceilings
• Install drywall on studs and joints using drywall screws, compound and tape
• Sand and prime walls and ceilings for paint preparation
• Install metal or wood studs, metal corner beads and tracks in interior walls and ceilings
• Use stud finder to identify existing studs if usable or conducting repairs
• Tape seams and joints
• Apply drywall compound to achieve smooth and even surfaces
• Apply extra layers of compound as necessary and sand the seams and joints accordingly, ensuring any surplus compound is smooth and even
• Install ceiling panels and tiles if required by client
• Demolish existing drywall, metal frames, door and door frames; cut openings for electrical and plumbing work
• Install interior accessories including baseboards, trim, ceiling tiles, cover plates and others.
Our Requirements:
• 1-2 years working experience as a drywall installer or similar role
• Expertise in positioning, screwing, taping, applying compound and sanding drywall in a smooth, efficient and accurate manner
• Knowledge and experience with various types of drywall, tracks, studs, tape, textures and finishes
• Proficiency in operating drywall tools and equipment, such as drywall lifters, drills, taping tools, and sanders
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials and equipment
• College diploma or higher
