Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older. Ideal candidate will have a vehicle and valid Class 5 driver's license. Must have or be willing to get Pool Operators Course Certificate. Knowledge of handling dangerous and poisonous material (WHMIS Course a definite asset). Able to do general maintenance, basic carpentry, painting, minor repairs and clean-up. Must be physically able to perform job duties. Dependable, responsible, mature, self-motivated and safety conscious. Able to work independently & follow written and verbal instruction. Must be flexible, cooperative and willing to work in a team environment with young staff and volunteers.
Responsibilities:
Perform general maintenance, repair & clean-up duties at camp. Assist with maintenance of the outdoor swimming pool and maintain all of the camp's facilities and grounds (e.g. painting, repairs, carpentry, grass cutting and weed whipping). Ensure the grounds and facilities of the camp are safe for campers, staff and volunteers. May be required to participate in other camp activities such as canoeing and other activities. Be involved in other areas of Camp life, and take on other duties as required by the Camp Director.
